DuraTronic remotes are self learning with secure rolling code technology.

What this means is that each time you trigger your remote a new and randomly selected code is transmitted thus making it impossible for undesirables to duplicate the code on your remote and thus been able to operate your gate. Transmission range is up to 100m dependent on the area in which they are used. The remotes are available in 1 and 4 buttons options.

Many of the DACE gate operators have a built in receiver but additional receivers can be connected to serve additional needs – such as the opening of the gate part way only for pedestrians. The external type receiver can hold 128 remotes while the built in receivers can hold 30 remotes.

TO PROGRAM REMOTES TO THE RECEIVER.

• Press and hold the button on the remote.
• Place the jumper over the two LEARN TX pins for 1 second.
• Remove the jumper.
• Release the button on the remote.
Repeat the above steps for each remote to be programmed.

1. Code transmitters to receiver

• Connect power.
• Insert LEARN TX Link
• Transmit with new transmitter. LED will flash after coding new transmitter. If the
transmitter is already coded, the LED will flash twice. If the memory is full, LED
will flash four times.
• Continue coding transmitters
• Remove LEARN TX Link

2. Erase single transmitter

• Insert ERASE TX link.
• Within 10 seconds, transmit with previous coded transmitter. After transmitter has
been erased, the LED will flash rapidly indicating that the operation is complete.
• Remove ERASE TX link from board.
• Points 1 to 3 must be repeated every time a single transmitter is to be deleted.

3. Erase all transmitters

• Insert ERASE TX link.
• Count LED flashes and when count reaches 4, remove Erase Memory link.
• Re-insert ERASE TX link and count LED flashes. When count reaches 2,
remove ERASE TX link.
• Re-insert ERASE TX link and count LED flashes. When count reaches 4, remove
ERASE TX link. All transmitters are now erased from the receiver.
• LED will flash rapidly indicating that all TX’s have been erased.
MANUFACTURERS RECOMMENDATIONS AND COMMENTS
1. For optimum range it is advisable to place the receiver a minimum of 2 metres
vertically away from the gate motor e.g. top of gate posts.
2. When placing the receiver out of the motor it is important to ensure that the cable
entry point faces down. This is to ensure that water does not enter the receiver.
The receiver housing is “SPLASH” proof, allowing it to be positioned externally. It
is, however, not protected against a direct spray of water e.g. hose pipe or, as
indicated above, not protected against rain should the cable entry point be facing
upright.
3. Placing the receiver inside the motor housing will reduce the range of the
receiver when the motor is in operation.
4. Range may be affected by signals transmitted from another source.
5. When coding remotes for use in a complex it is recommended that all remotes be
physically numbered and a record be kept.
6. Max number of Transmitters per Receiver is 128.
